New York, NY — U.S. Senate nominee Wendy Long, running to defeat failed career politician U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer in New York, today said:
“Donald Trump’s economic program is desperately needed by the American economy, suffering from historically low growth because of the foolish big government policies of Barack Obama and Chuck Schumer.
“We can’t let Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer continue with more of the very things that are killing our jobs, depressing wages, and crushing small business. The Washington Post today details the abysmal failure of Hillary Clinton’s upstate New York jobs plan, saying it “fell flat.” Her BFF and crony, corrupt Chuck Schumer, has been as big a failure — and upstate county flybys won’t hide that fact.
“We need to reduce tax rates and simplify the tax code, getting rid of the corporate welfare and the high rates for most, tax breaks for friends cronyism that is the hallmark of Schumer-Clintonism. We need to reduce regulation on small business in particular, whether it’s Dodd-Frank, the EPA, or Obamacare.
“When I first got into this race, a reporter asked me if I was supporting anyone in particular for president. I told him I had been behind Donald Trump for a long time. He laughed and said I was the first Trump supporter he had ever met.
“The media need to get out more. They would find that the people want strong borders, American jobs, the rule of law, and real leadership. That’s why I have been, and will continue to be, behind Donald Trump 100 percent.
“We must defeat Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer. If we do, New York and America will make history and will begin to get our country back on track.”
