United States Senate candidate Wendy Long from New York State released a press release early Monday in regards to the explosion in New York City on Saturday as well as the explosions in Sea Side, New Jersey Saturday morning and Elizabeth, New Jersey Sunday night.
In the press release, Long attacks her Senate opponent and long-time New York Senator Charles Schumer as well as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama for their lack of action on terrorism. Being from New York City, Long knows and understands the all too real threat that radical Islamic terrorism poses not only to New York but America as a whole.
In the statement released Monday, Long explains:
Political correctness is killing our country. I’ve been saying this for months all around New York State. When will Chuck Schumer wake up — when they start beheading people in Central Park?
Many decent hardworking New Yorkers, who don’t have a bigoted bone in their bodies, agree with Donald Trump, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, and me: we are at war with radical Islamic terrorists, we must stop the refugee flows of Muslims we cannot properly vet, and we must identify and profile those on our soil who may cause us harm.
The accusations of racism, xenophobia, and Islamophobia are absurd. We must keep our people safe. This is the #1 function of our government.
Was this Afghan terrorist Ahmad Khan Rahami on our radar before this weekend? Did he frequent any of the places that the NYPD had under surveillance in New York and New Jersey under Mayors Giuliani and Bloomberg before De Blasio shut down the program?
I’m a New York City mother. My teenage son was downtown and walked about 100 blocks home on Saturday night because the Chelsea bomb closed down public transportation. My children got on trains this morning to ride out of Manhattan to school. They got cell phone FBI alerts on their phones about the suspect Ahmad Khan Rahami. More bombs were found by Elizabeth NJ train station.
Meanwhile, politicians are dancing on head of pin on what to call this. Whether it is domestic or international. Wondering what the motivation is.
I’ll tell you the motivation. Jihad. Islamic extremists have declared war on us. ISIS linked media praised the Saint Cloud Minnesota mall jihadi as a ‘soldier of the state.’
We need extreme vetting of all who enter this country. Very few Muslim refugees could pass it, but Obama, Clinton, and Schumer wave in tens of thousands that create a perfect Trojan Horse.
Meanwhile, Christians in the Middle East who can be vetted with 100 percent certainty are begging for us to rescue them from genocide. But political correctness is wielded like a weapon by Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Chuck Schumer to condemn the Christians to slaughter and to open up our own people to death by the same foe.
