Woodmere, NY, Tuesday, September 20, 2016: To the delight of an overflow, standing-room only crowd, Wendy Long, NYS candidate for the U.S. Senate and endorsed by the Republican, Conservative and Reform Parties of New York, was feted, last night, at a reception held at the home of Rabbi Sol and Nicole Appleman of Woodsburgh. The event, hosted by Ann Schockett of Woodmere, and Frances and Robert Ross and Rebecca and Andrew Eisen of Woodsburgh, drew an extensive list of attendees of religious, civic and political leaders from throughout the Five Towns and Nassau, Queens and Suffolk counties, all of whom showed tremendous support for her positions on the economy, Israel, homeland security, illegal immigration, the tax structure, term limits, education and other issues.
US Senate Candidate Wendy Long addressed her stance against the BDS movement and her support of Israel, the failed Iran Nuclear agreement, the perilous incidents of terrorism on our soil and in the world, the economic downturn in the state and country, and stated that “If you want to say NO to corruption, career politicians, and political correctness, I’m your messenger. Let’s say YES to American jobs, borders, the Constitution, and the rule of law”. Long, who lives with her family in New York City, brings extensive practical and educational experiences to the position of the United States Senate. Long served in New York State and Washington, D.C. as a clerk for Justice Clarence Thomas at the Supreme Court and for Judge Ralph K. Winter at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York, and as press secretary to two United States Senators. Long was a litigation partner at a New York law firm and then was general counsel of Judicial Confirmation Network. Her in-depth involvement in government has re-enforced her beliefs in term limits and a citizen legislature. Long was educated at Dartmouth, Northwestern University School of Law and Harvard University School of Law as well as being awarded a Publius Fellowship at the Claremont Institute.
